Wavelet Optics is a small enterprise, but relies on both internal and external competences. The internal ones are mainly covered by the CEO, Gudmund Slettemoen. He has a Dr-Ing. degree in optics. His optical research has been conducted at NTH (Norwegian Institute of Technology), Optical Sciences Center (Arizona), and SINTEF (Trondheim). In 1985 he founded the company Conoptica AS, and stayed in the position as Conopticas CEO until 2017. He has worked with specification, development, and design of optical systems and sensors for several decades, and been a consultant for around 40 businesses and universities.

Wavelet Optics' key expertise is related to optical physics, optical camera solutions, a broad range of image processing algorithms, company startup processes, lens design, and optical sensor and system development and prototyping.
